Spartan II

Today we were in Rancho Santa Margarita, got plenty of pictures for you both to remember.

There was an obstacle, kind of like a pyramid, that has straps laced across each side with no walls.  So the straps formed little squares made of straps, that you grab and put your foot on so that you can climb to the top and then down the other side.

The both of you were climbing up one side, and there was a little girl with blue eyes and blonde hair. Eva, she was a few years older than you and she was bigger, maybe about six inches taller than you.  At one point you and her were side by side, both of you were scared and didn't want to climb any higher.  Your mommy and me, kept encouraging you, she said how brave you were, and I reminded you how you do the same thing at the park every time.

It was Angelo who did it.  Angelo had already climbed down, but he climbed back up to the top, encouraged you, and helped you a little bit, just enough to get you to climb over, and make it down.  Angelo, you made me so proud today, not only did you make it over all the obstacles, you went back during that obstacle, and helped your sister.  It was one of the best moments of the day, and I hope one of the best memories this old man will remember.

Back to Will, which I'm thinking was short for Willow, the young blonde girl with blue eyes.  Apparently she also has a brother, who I don't think I saw.  He finished the obstacle and took off, he didn't wait for his sister, he didn't go back for her.

She didn't make it to the top, and she didn't make it over.  She climbed back down, and walked over to her dad crying.  Eva your mom told me later on that night that she heard the dad, who was very angry because her brother didn't go back for her.  He wasn't eve close by.

Angelo, driving up to the race in the morning, you were carsick.  We stopped and you threw up twice, pretty bad.  Eva got in a little trouble with her mom, because her mom was cold.  Eva, you had rolled down the window, and what you explained to your mom, was because Angelo was car sick, and you were trying to make him feel better.

It means, everything in the world to me, that the both of you grow up together and take care of each other.  For a million different reasons, you are brother and sister and I need you both to never forget that.  Both of you are special, both of you are loved, and both of you are stronger together.

I'm not even going to go into how Eva wants to marry Angelo.............

New Year Confession

Hi love, Hasn’t it been a crazy year?   The world almost died twice this year, first because of the Pandemic, and then again because we almost divorced.   I can still clearly see you leaving the courtroom.   Our schedules are so way off right now, and yet, I’m happy to be living in the same walls as you.   I love our home, I love our kids, I love our dogs (even though they truly fucking reek right now, epically), I love you and everything about you.   And so I am grateful, and despite any minor things that come up, I am truly happy just to be with you, spend time with you, to have and to hold, until the hunger games do us part.   But they won’t because we’ll have to eat the berries but we won’t because we will be chosen and stuff and save the world by revolt. I have a confession. I finished In the Dark, that blind chick show.   Tyson is alive, she finds him a year later, and it turns out he left because he loved her and felt she was kill...

Family and Personal Directive

Family Directive My marriage is my private and public commitment to my wife and my family.   My wife and my children will always be first, every decision and action taken has their happiness and best interest at heart.   I will make this world a better place for my wife and my children and in doing so, I will be driven by what is most important to me.       Personal Directive Despite many challenges, at heart I know better and what I have to accomplish.   In order to fulfill my Family Directive, I know I must take care of myself, mentally and physically.   And I must take steps every day to fulfill my desire to make change, to make this world a better place, regardless of success or failure.
